One of the most popular features of the OnTime 2005 product is its ability to fully customize the add/edit form.  The standard OnTime Add/Edit form contains all the built-in fields and any custom fields you may have created. So here we see the standard Add/Edit with just 3 custom fields:

However, some teams might want to use a streamed-down version of OnTime's Add/Edit form.  You can customize this form to only contain custom fields or a combination of the custom and built-in fields.  To customize the Add/Edit form for defects, from the Tools Menu, select “Manage Field Templates”:

From the Manage Field Templates screen, you can easily choose to show or hide any of the built-in or custom fields.  You can also reorder the fields.  In my example, I've chosen to only show a handful of fields and reorder them so that my “Target Release” field is before the “Date Found” field:

As you can see, the new “Add Defect” form is now much simpler. The same customizability is also available for OnTime Features.
