Before writing the full story of what we did this past weekend to implement TransferBigFiles.com, I wanted to provide a quick guide on how the service works.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the home page of this site is the main page used for sending files.  There is no registeration required, no need to provide information about yourself.  Just a quick and easy way to submit the files you want to send and enter the recipient(s) whom you want to receive the file.

Need to send more than 1 file?  No problem, just click on the “Send More Files” link to open up 4 additional file selection boxes to be able to send up to 5 files at the same time.  Need more than 1 recipient?  No problem.  Click the “Send to more recipients” option to open up an additional 4 locations to enter recipient emails.

But my favorite part of the site is actually hiden under the 3rd step (“Optional Settings”):

When you open the section, you can choose several additional options that make this free service super nice.  You can optionally include a message, require a password to retrieve the file, send the email notification on your behalf and you can even be notified once the file is actually retrieved.

These optional features makes TransferBigFiles.com the best free file-send service available today.
