FINALLY!  Apple announced their “Boot Camp” product today which allows for users to boot Windows XP on the new Intel-based Macs.  Here is the link for details:

I can't wait to punish Dell and HP (Compaq) by not purchasing their products in favor of Apple's.  For how many years did these guys stop the innovation in the PC market?  It's payback time.  Apple gets my support from this point forward.  Who wouldn't want slot-load DVD, thinner machines, longer battery life, built-in camera (that doesn't look like crap) and other little niceties that we never find from the mainstream PC vendors?  Not to mention, I can't wait to play with Mac OS X.  This is big!  It's bigger than big!  Even if Apple increases market share from 3% to 5%, that's a 60% increase in it's PC revenues.  There's a lot more than 2% of PC buyers who are going to take advantage of this announcement.  Lets check back in 12 months.
