We are facing following problems when using OnTime:
1) We have contractors which are supposed to log their work hours with an OnTime item (defect/feature etc.). We need a way to convert this amount of time to a customer worklog to know how much we should invoice a particular customer (I am aware of the possiblility to create new worklog types). There are a couple of ways I can imagine a feature we need would work. Here are a couple of ideas that would make this easier for us:
- Each woklog type (Billable / NonBillable) could be customized with additional fields. In our case this would be the a customer from OnTime (let's call is CustomerBillable). We would then be able to select a customer for each worklog entry.
- Each worklog can be assigned multiple worklog types so when a contractor would add 2 Billable hours to the log the entry could also be assigned 2 CustomerBillable hours (with a customer assigned).
- A couple of worklog entries could be selected and summed up to a single CustomerBillable entry.
Is this a scenario you are considering to address sometime in the future, or is this something that you believe won't find much use for the majority of OnTime users (I encourage others to joint the topic to see if my my suggestion makes sense for other customers).
