Email accounts don't change checking time straight way

I was just checking the notifications sent when items are created from emails, and I change the checking time to a smaller value e.g. 2 minutes. But this had no effect, it still checked with the previous time. I waited for about 15 minutes and it still didn't check at all, let alone the 7 or so times it should have checked within that time.

Do I need to restart one of the services on the server to get this change to be applied?

Re: Email accounts don't change checking time straight way

I am unable to replicate this problem. My email service controller was checking in every 2 minutes. I have changed the interval time to 3 and even 1 minute but it seems to be working just fine.

Are you on the latest version of OnTime 2007 Version 7.0.2.7191 by any chance?

    Thank you,

    Yes - latest version.

Mine is still set to 2 minutes, but it is still checking every 30 minutes (It records the time as well).

    Hello,

My development team has sent me the following SQL query that you can run against the OnTime database to resolve the time interval issue with the email service controller. We were able to replicate this issue early this morning on our local installed instances of the email service controller. Please be sure to run the following attached SQL query to resolve this issue in the 7.0.2 build of OnTime. The following defect will be addressed in the 7.1 maintenance release in the near future.

    Thank you,

I ran the script and I've been observing it for a while it seems to be working. Though it modifies the checking time after the next check time - I guess this is partly to be expected. (checking manually might be it to kick in faster if people don't want to wait)

I also checked the server application log which recorded when the pop3 Service was being accessed.

    Thanks

    M
