Problem with filtering by date using non US regional settings

The regional settings for my PC sets the date format to dd/mm/yyyy.

When I attempt to create a filter using a date past the 12th day of the month (eg. 15/05/2007) I receive an invalid filter error.

I can create the filter without problem if I change my regional settings to English(United States) with a mm/dd/yyyy date format.

I assume the filter is being validated against the US date format even when the regional settings are set differently.

The regional setting used for both the PC and OnTime is English (Australia).

Further to this problem, if I create a filter to show all Incidents modified between 5/01/2007 and 5/12/2007 (5 Jan-5 Dec) I will actually get all Incidents modified between 1/05/2007 and 12/05/2007 (1 May-12 May).

Re: Problem with filtering by date using non US regional settings

    Hello,

Can you please send me the exact reproduction steps on this issue since I am unable to replicate the problem on our end? I did notice that the date fields are not properly formatted with the region that you are currently working with. Creating a custom filter to display items in a date range from Jan-5th to Dec-5th seems to generate the proper list view of items ranging from January to December.

    Thank you,

Re: Problem with filtering by date using non US regional settings

    PC Regional Setting: English (Australia)

    OnTime Regional Setting: English (Australia)

Filter Condition: Last Modified Date is within Today

    Invalid Filter Message:

When the filter conditions are combined for this filter, it appears that the final filter is no longer valid. This can usually occur as a result of invalid input data or misconfigured parenthesis.

The actual SQL filter is presented here to help you debug your filter:

    (LastUpdatedDateTime >= '16/05/2007' and LastUpdatedDateTime < '17/05/2007')

This filter is correct as today's date is 16/05/2007, however OnTime does not allow it.

Thank you for the additional information on this problem. I was able to replicate this issue on our end with the latest OnTime 2007 version 7.0.2.7191. The following item has been considered as a defect in the OnTime application.

    Thank you,
