The list of available search fields is limited... why ?

I would really like to search for a specific workflowstep without having to set up a filter.  Can you tell me why some fields (such as workflow step, assigned to etc.) are not available... or is it my issue as in a setup problem ?  I note that an Ontime response to an earlier post (Filtering / search in Customer Portal ) suggested that workflow step search would be added to desired Ontime Features list. I don;t see it there - though that was back in April. I am also not sure that this is the same issue .. I am not using customer portal.  Awaiting comment please. ... Thanks ... Lynn

You're correct, there is currently no way to configure the search fields listed in the search dropdown in the OnTime Windows client.

If it's an enhancement you'd like to see in future version of OnTime, even if you know a similar request was made in the past, you should submit it as a Feature Request. You can submit this suggestion in our Customer Portal if you like:

I think the functionality you need would best be performed by filters. If you don't want to use filters, the other option would be to use the 'Group' function. By clicking the 'Group' button in the toolbar you can group the items by Workflow Step.
