    Viewing List of All Tasks

    I would like to know if there is a way to view all task which are in the system.

    The export function and reports (Task Reports) only give a list of tasks which are in the users workspace and not all task which are captured by different users.

    In order for users to have the ability to view all tasks in the OnTime application, the tasks themselves will need to be created as public. When adding or editing a task in OnTime, be sure to checkmark the option "Task is Public" so that other users of OnTime will be able to see these tasks as well. If the task is not public, then only the creator of the task as well as the person that is assigned to this item will only be able to see it.

    Hi Dragan,  can you advise for what other reasons a Task, checked as 'Public' is not visible by another user (administrative authority). 

    (I have emailed you a screenshot showing the relevant task). The task *is* visible via a 3rd user who has only developer authority.

    Hello Lynn,

    I haven't seen the screenshot you mention, but based on your description it seems like there's some kind of filter restricting the administrator's view.

    A common reason that users cannot see certain Tasks is because they have "Show or Hide Completed Tasks" option toggled in the Task toolbar. The icon looks like a green checkmark inside a black box, and is only visible when the Task tab is selected.

    Also, the Task might exist within a different Project, or there might be another filter of some kind applied that might restrict the administrator from seeing it. 

    After checking those options as Administrator, if you still cannot see the Task in question, let me know and we'll explore further.

    Hi Tom, sorry but I couldn;t see an option to include a screen shot.  I have sent this same text to 'support@axosoft.com' with the screen shot. Hopefully you may be able to find it. The screen shot shows both mine and my colleagues task view - with his showing Task id 7 - and mind not.

    As you will see (hopefully)  Task (7) is not completed – and since the other tasks are visible for both users, they are all in the same project.

    There’s no filter applied and no search still restricting records as you can see from the screenshot.

    Any other ideas please ?

    I received your email with the screenshots, and I've responded to you, which I'm sure you already know. :) Thanks for resending them.

    You and I will try to investigate this further when you call into support, and I'll post our findings here when we've resolved the issues.
