    Uninstalling to upgrade Reply Quote

I finally got around to upgrading to 7.1, but when I went to uninstall, all 3 uninstall programs pointed to the wrong uninstall--so it didn't work (only thing I did differently was install OT to a different drive).

Do I have to uninstall before upgrading? And if so, how can I do it manually?

     Thanks

In the past, previous to 7.1, you had to uninstall the old version first, then install the new version.  Starting with 7.1 the installer will uninstall the previous version automatically, if the previous version was a 7 or newer.

What was your previous version?  Usually you can install side-by-side if you are installing in a different folder.  For version 7+ there should be an Uninstall.exe file in the installation folder, which you can run to uninstall.

Our installs place all the files in the installation folder, so removing that folder would get rid of all the files installed by us.  Depending on the version and what product you installed, there may be some registry entries as well.
