Image not showing in custom report

    Image not showing in custom report Reply Quote

    Version: 7.1.1.7329

    Any image files (bmp, jpg, etc) do not show in my custom reports.  Interestingly, when I'm working on them they work perfectly fine in the development preview window.  I'll save the report and then when I try to open it from the regular report menu all the images are gone.  I've tried several different image types and reports and it's always the same thing, works great in the debug window, but then disappears from the main menu report.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hello Andy,

    When I test with our latest version(7.1.2.7329) the image I use(a simple jpg) displays in the designer, the preview, and while pulling up the report from the report menu. I have no exact information that this was fixed from your version to mine, but perhaps it was indirectly resolved when another bug was fixed. If we can determine that this is another defect with our application, I'll report it to our development team.

    Before you and I get too involved into working on this with your 7.1.1. version, would it be possible for you to upgrade to our latest version? It's free and easy, and would eliminate many possibilities and narrow our available troubleshooting steps dramatically. If you're interested you can watch our installation/upgrade videos, download our latest version, or I can assist you here in the forums as needed.

    Let me know if you're willing to try upgrading, and either way we'll keep exploring possible causes for this and find some kind of explanation.

    Can I just upgrade one user and see if it fixes the problem?  We have 65 licenses so we tend not to upgrade on every update.  Thank you.

    Hello Andy,

    I don't think it's possible to upgrade just one user license, but I'll tell you about some alternatives that we can offer.

    You can simply download the 7.1.2. version of OnTime, request a free single user license, and after installing you can opt to create a new database instead of using your existing database. The important thing to remember would be to make sure you don't upgrade your existing database. You can either connect to a backup copy of your existing database, or just create a new one to test with, and use that free single user to test the images in the reports.

    I suspect there may be another factor effecting this issue, of which I can't really even speculate about right now without looking closer at your configuration. You should give us a call in Support if you run into the issue when using our latest version of OnTime 2007 7.1.2, and we can explore this in more detail.
