Will the OnTime wiki integrate with Selenium?

    Hello,

I have been looking at FitNesse wiki to define acceptance tests and then run the scripts generated using Selenium IDE http://www.openqa.org/selenium-ide/

In FitNesse, tests are expressed as tables of input data and expected output data. Just wondering whether OnTime 2008 would support this concept, which would avoid using two wikis?

    http://fitnesse.org/

FitNesse is a software testing tool.

From another perspective, FitNesse is a lightweight, open-source framework that makes it easy for software teams to:
    • Collaboratively define AcceptanceTests -- web pages containing simple tables of inputs and expected outputs.
    • Run those tests and see the results (see TwoMinuteExample).

    FitNesse is a wiki.

    FitNesse is a web server.

    • It requires no configuration or setup.
    • Just run it and then direct your browser to the machine where it is running

Right now we do not have any plans for integrating the wiki with any other tools for the 2008 release.  What kind of integration are you looking for, though?  How did you forsee using the wiki and how would it integrate with another tool?

Re: Will the OnTime wiki integrate with Selenium?

    Hello,
My question was concerning whether I could write tests in the OnTime wiki using the command language of Selenium and use it as the Fit fixture loading of FitNesse. I have found a solution that integrates Selenium and Fitnesse, thanks. It would be nice to have the test results reported in to OnTime, though.

STIQ is a tool for creating Acceptance Tests or “Story Tests”, and combines open source browser-based testing, a simple command language, wiki-based editing and pluggable features.  The tool is used for writing acceptance tests while developing web applications. STIQ is a combination of FitNesse and Selenium, popular open-source acceptance test tools.
