Customer's can create incidents for all projects

    Customer's can create incidents for all projects
    I created a project for a particular customer and then limited that customer to that project in the customer configuration.  However, when I log on using that customer's account in the customer portal, I am able to create incidents for all of my projects, not just the one for that customer.  What am I doing wrong here?

    Hi Steve,

    In Tools > Manage > Customers > edit customer > Setting Tab there are two settings "Restrict View to:" and "Allow Add/Edit In:"

    Make sure the "Allow Add/Edit In:" is pointing to the correct project.

    Also make sure you have Incidents selected for Item types when assigning the project to the customers. Users sometimes set the project and don't notice that defects is selected by defaultSmile

    Thanks. I did follow those steps originally, but didn't get the result I was expecting.  I later discovered what my issue was.  When you make changes to a customer's settings, that customer must log out of the customer portal and then log back in for the changes to take effect.  So I really did fix the problem, I just didn't realize it because I never logged out of the customer portal to force the changes to take effect.  Thanks for your help though.
