    Part 1... Variables
    I am just wondering what all the pure chat variables are.  I know the following two.
            {operator}
            {user}
    are there any others?

    Part 2... Suggestions
    Can I suggest a few things

    1. chat rating should be easier to do, I dont like the fact that the user is asked to "Cancel" an action in order to rate the chat... there shoudl be a "rate" button in the chat window which allows the user to rate BEFORE exiting the chat.
    2. User Options... The user should be able to request a chat log.  often the operator says something that they need to remember, It would be nice if that information could be sent to them in an email

    Another Suggestion.

    When the "Sound" pays for a new chat notification, it does not actually play in IE7 because IE7 gives a notification that an ActiveX control is trying to run.

    I would like to suggest that there be a Different way to play a sound so that it works as expected in all browsers.  I do not have a suggestion as to HOW to make this work, only that it needs to work.

    Another Suggestion

    I would also like to suggest that the operators page display the current version of PureChat and possibly even a link to the Axosoft website IF there is an update available.

    Another Suggestion

    In the Quick Shortcuts window, the "Hotkey" should be clickable.

    So if i were to click on the [ g ], that text would get displayed in my current chat window automatically.

    I realize that it is easy enough to type the Hotkey, but it would be nice to have the click option as well... just to make things quicker.

    Two More Suggestions

    1. A louder more dominant Alert Sound that will notify us even over background music.  Maybe boost the audio too so that it is above average.
    2. More response in the forum on the items being presented.

    As you noted in your previous post, sound is a little tricky to do cross-browser, cross-platform. We're investigating ways to improve this. As far as a new sound, we can work on that, but as an FYI, you can customize the sound yourself...just replace "notify.mid" in the /PureChat/sounds folder with a different file of the same name.

     As far as rating the chat...if the operator closes the chat before the user exits, the chat rating window will come up immediately for the user. We decided that if the user wants to exit the chat, we need to be as allowing as possible of that, while still allowing for other functionality.

    For a current version/get updates link, that's something we've discussed internally as well...we would like to see this in a future version ourselves.

    Clickable hotkeys: Currently there is no concept of an "active" chat window...but we have had this discussion internally as well and would like to implement something along these lines.

    We apologize for the delay in responding to your requests, thanks for all the great feedback!

    Thank you for getting back to these ideas.  The one thing I was thinking was that the User window look alot like what the LivePerson chat window look like

    In the Header
    -----
    (email)   |   (Rate)
    -----
    then the body as it is now.

    so basically the user can opt to receive an email of the transcript and/or rate the chat.

    then it is queued up so that at the end of the chat, the rate window and the email form appear.  if they do not want to do that, then the window simply closes.

    Also, I am more than happy to be able to modify my "alert sound" myself, however coming across MIDI files is a lot more difficult than coming across MP3's.  Is there a way for it to use MP3's instead of MIDI?

    Here are some really cool features that could benefit this project... especially the "Ticket Number" with the ability to lookup past tickets.
