I have created a custom field that is of type Large Text.

I have specified that this show up in the Detail Tabs.

I am now trying to define a Workflow. In one of the steps, I want to assign a value to this Large Text field.

I am in the Workflow Step Action Tab, where I click the checkbox next to the Custom Field, and Change the Value to the text I want.

The text I want to set spans several lines, but I can find no way to insert carriage returns in this field. Any pointers ?

We are aware of this issue and it's something we will have to look into to find a good solution for.  However, if you are using HTML fields (which is the default, you should be able to enter the whole text as one line (e.g. "line 1 <br/> line 2 <br/> line 3").
