    Pure Chat Complaints of SLOW MESSAGE RECEIPT Reply Quote

    I use PureChat on my hosting website and I am getting complaints that chat sessions are very slow.  I seem to receive customer messages very fast, however my customers don't receive my responses in a timely fashion.

    My client who complains the most is overseas, however this shouldnt matter as chat software like MSN is instant.

    Any Thoughts?

     

    Also I tried to post this in the support area, but there is no PureChat option... only OnTime options.

    Hello,

    You may be experiencing a delay due to the location of your customer.  Network Latency might be to blame.  You can check the purechat.config file and validate the "ChatPollInterval" is set to 1 second.  The "ChatPollInterval" tells PureChat how often to poll the server.
