OnTime2008 on Windows Server 2008 with SQL Server 2008

    Hi,

I am trying to get OnTime (latest version) to work on  a Windows 2008 Server with SQL Server 208. But I am not able to connect.

I have tested OnTime on my Windows Vista machine with SQL 2005 Express without any problem.

Does OnTime support 2008 server and sql server?

    Thanks

    Andre

    Hello Andre,

OnTime 2008 works on Server 2008.  OnTime 2008 should work on SQL 2008 however we have not done extensive testing yet.  Did you enable remote connections on SQL Server?

    Thanks,

    Thanks.

    Yes I did

I can also connect with a 3rd party administration tool from my client pc to the sql server and work with it.

Any other ideas. In the meantime I check again. Otherwise we will switch back to sql2005,

    Hi Brain,

I found it. I think the Browser Services was not running. It was also giving problems to get it running. But also our firewall gave a problem.

Thanks for your help and we continue testing. It looks very good and user friendly.
