My company has finally recovered from Hurricane Wilma and we are back online.

I am now ready to upgrade all of my WinClients and WebServer to the final version of 2006.  Can I simply uninstall the version on the client machines, then reinstall the new version?

I don't want to lose any of the data we have already collected, so I want to be sure the installation doesn't distrupt our existing data.  In addition to the defect/feature/task data, I would also like to save the custom reports we wrote too.  Any issues here?

When it comes to upgrading we like to take extra precautions just incase something fails during the process.

1. First you will need to backup the OnTime database.
2. Uninstall the OnTime clients by going to Add/Remove Programs.
3. Download and Install the latest version of OnTime 2006 that can be found on our main website.

4. Once you have the latest version of OnTime 2006 installed the user that is trying to access OnTime for the first time will get prompted to upgrade the database to the current version.

After the upgrade has completed successfully you should be able to login to the OnTime application without any problems.

All of the settings and database information should still be there after the upgrade as well as your custom reports.
