Hello - I've recently updated from OnTime 2006 to Ontime 2007 and am no longer able to send alerts. I have used the 'Email Notification' tools to check my settings and test the functionality. However, the testing of this does not succeed and refers me to the exception log. I'm not exactly certain how to check the exception log but I have looked into the database and can find the error associated with the failure. Here are some details of the exception:
System Void Send(System.Net.Mail.MailMessage) 6/25/2007 10:47:05 AM 0 5 The operation has timed out. at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message)
at Axosoft.Common.SmtpClient.SendEmail(IMailMessage message)
There are other users that have what seems to an identical email configuration that do not have problems emailing alerts. Is there anyway to retrieve more information as to what might be causing the error? Any suggestions on how i can correct this issue? any help is appreciated. Thanks.
