    Problem with sending e-mails

    Hi,

     I am using OnTime 2007 on windows 2003, I have installed Ontime Web, customer portal and services.

    When I am try to send e-mail, everythink look's good and it write's that is all right, but e-mail is not delivered.

    There is all what I know,

    1. We move from Axosoft hosting to our server and Import all data from original DB (but we reconfigure the mail account)
    2. I have installed the customer portal and web server on the same machine with virtual dir in IIS, using .NET 2.0
    3. But when we configure the ontime to send mail to adress xxxx@cdddcdc.xcdcdsc then test write sucessfull
    4. Firewall is configured properly and windows firewall is disabled, (but it was tested with and without firewall but no change)
     

     
    In web server web.conf file there was an error in line 7 exceptionManagement and when I rename it to exceptManagement then everythink works good

    Please make sure that you are able to relay email messages to the mail server from the workstations and or servers that have OnTime installed. Verify that you are able to receive test email messages within the OnTime application. If this still doesn’t resolve your problem, then you may want to check the mail server logs to see if the email messages are even being relayed to the necessary recipients.

    Hi,

     I used ethereal and there was an problem with auth in smtp server but now I haveanother kind of problem, when I am create a new incident in ethereal I can't se activity to connect to smtp server, OnTime is not trying to send e-mail maybe I forgot somethink (all test e-mails was send properly), any idea?

    OnTime application will save the item first then it will relay an email notification to the mail server and send it to the proper recipient. Please make sure the replaying is allowed on the mail server for the workstation and or server that is sending the email notification from OnTime.  I am not really sure if you are going to see this particular activity in the ethereal application. The SMTP traffic for relaying emails to the SMTP client is port 25 by default. Are the emails messages still not being delivered to the proper recipients? Are you using the latest OnTime 2007 version 7.0.2.7191?

    hi,

     yes I am using the latest version of OnTime, and when I am sending the test e-mail I can see all activity in ethereal, but when I change the incident then I can't see activity in ethereal, and beacuse of this I think that OnTime is not trying to send e-mail.

    any idea
