2006 Customer Portal Blank Screen

    2006 Customer Portal Blank Screen
    Hi, I have recently installed 2007 Customer Portal Trial version on the same IIS where 2006 Customer Portal runs. And now all of a sudden I cannot see login page for 2006 Customer Portal. It doesn't show login control (user name text box, password and a button). Web sites run from different application pools, that use .net 2 for 2007 Cust. Portal and .net 1.1 for 2006 Cust. Portal. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Can you please assist?

    Please make sure that you have not replaced the 2006 configuration files with the latest 2007 version that you have installed. Make sure that the OnTime 2007 customer portal local directory is different from the 2006 customer portal’s local directory. Also, verify that the OnTime.config file that you are loading for the 2006 customer portal is not from the 2007 version that you have installed.

    Here is the folder structure for both version of OnTime

    \inetpub

    \wwwroot

    \OnTime2006CustomerPortal

    \OnTime2007Portal

    In IIS they are both on the same level and using different versions of .net framework. 

    I checked 2006 config file using configuration utility and it seems like it points to correct database.

    Please note that 2006 Web version and 2007 Web Version work in parallel just fine.

    Make sure that your default website in IIS is set to use .net framework 1.1 instead of 2.0. 

    If that’s the case, then I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the OnTime 2006 customer portal web client to see if that resolves this particular problem for you.

    Is there anything else that can prevent login page from displaying login control?

    I have uninstalled 2007 Customer Portal completely and reinstalled 2006 Customer Portal 3 times. Rebooted the machine which runs IIS, rebooted the SQL server, still no luck.  Can you advise some other steps to troubleshoot this issue? Right now our customers are not able to submit issues and view status of work in progress.
