    OT2007 - Users List Pick List, Field Templates, and Filters

    I've added a custom field for defects named "Project Manager".   It is tied to the Users List Pick List.

    During the process of adding/editing a Defect or Feature, this works as intended.

    The problem I am having is when I attempt to do a filter based on that custom field.   When adding a filter line item, I select the custom field, and the filter type changes over to text - and only lets me check for "=" or "like".   I want this to work like the [Assigned To] field in that it works with the [CURRENT USER] token.    Am I missing a step in making the custom field recognized as a list by the filter area?

    I suppose this is due to the fact that the Users list is an ordinary stored-procedure-based pick list; therefore the entries in it are simply text strings, and the underlying field in the database is simply a text field, as with all pick-list-based fields.

    But I agree it would be nice to send alerts or other notifications to a user listed in such a custom field, and to otherwise handle these users like "real" users with an associated account and email address, so I submitted some features requests (#2362 and #2363).
