    Notifications/Alerts

    I have many customers who wish to receive a notification when an item changes to closed. We archive frequently so their items no longer show up in CP so they can't check the status. How can this be accomplished with notifications or alerts?

    Hello Tim,

    You can use Alerts to notify your users of a specfic field change such as the one you describe.

    With OnTime 2007 v7.1 and higher you'll be able to set an alert to send a message dynamically to the customer that reported/requested the item. 

    We've made a video that explains how to setup and configure Alerts and Notifications, here's the link:

     The first part of the video deals with Notifications, and at about the 3:00 minute mark the video explains how to use Alerts. Check it out, I believe the video can show you step-by-step how to configure an alert to suit your needs.
