What does "Check for New Version" mean in the Web Edition

The OnTime Web Edition (version 7.0.3.7218) has an entry in the Help menu that says, "Check for New Version".  If you click it you get the message:  "OnTime 2007 V7.1 is here with lots of new features! Learn more or Download it from Axosoft's Download Page".

What does this update message mean in the context of the Web Edition?  Does one have to manually update the Web Edition or is this a holdover from the desktop version?

By the way, clicking on the download link just takes you to the desktop version's download page.

    Hello Ed,

The OnTime Web client has to be updated just as any other component of OnTime if you host your own database server. If you have a Hosted Account, you would still need to log into your account at the Axosoft Store and choose to upgrade.

Here's a link to a set of extremely helpful video tutorials all about upgrading and installation:

Although the Axosoft's Download Page does highlight the OnTime 2007 Windows client, if you scroll down a little bit you'll see the other OnTime components and clients listed and available for download.

    Thank you,
