Greetings,

I have read through numerous posts regarding issues other Users have had with the VSS SCM Integration and have found myself in a related situation, but one which I have not found specifically referred to.

I have managed to successfully setup the integration...well...it does list all of the folders in our repository (VSS 2005).  However, when I look at a work item, I do not see the SCM Files tab as displayed in the User's Guide in order to link the item to and files in the repository.  I am wondering if there is something that I have missed in the configuration or installation of the software.

Any, and all, assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to provide the following information which corrected my particular problem.  I had neglected to go to Tools | System Options.  If you then select Details Tab Settings and each individual section (or those appropriate to your shop) and make sure the SCM Files option is selected.  Once completed and Saved, each applicable section will now have the SCM Files tab.

A note to Axosoft Staff:  You may want to make sure this information is added to your User's Guide.  I searched through that file for some time before accepting the fact that it contained insufficient information on this topic.

Ok...so perhaps I spoke too soon.  Granted I am evaluating OnTime using the single-user license provided to me by Axosoft, but I can only interact with VSS through OnTime if I am logged in as the Administrator.  If I log in using the other account I created, I am not able to interact with the SCM Files tab.

What am I missing here, other than proper documentation on how to use the feature?

Hello Marc,

The SCM tab can be displayed by going to "Tools>System Options", and under "Details Tab Settings" you can check the SCM Files tab to be viewable.

Hi Marc,

Yes, SCM settings are stored on a per-user basis, so each user would have to enter their own settings.
