    Work Log Types

Is it possible to add any additional types (as a dropdown selection) to the work log entry?

I like having a billable/non-billable type, but it would be nice to be able to select an additional type as well (e.g. Analysis, Construction, Testing, etc.)

    Thanks,

    -JT

    Re: Work Log Types

    Hello JT,

Yes, within the current version of OnTime it's possible to configure which options are available in the work log entries dropdown.

Within the OnTime Windows or Web client, go to "Tools>Manage List Types" and under the tab labeled "Work Log Types" you'll see you can add, edit, delete, or arrange the list of types for that Work Log dropdown.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

    Re: Work Log Types

Thanks for the reply. I guess what I was really looking for was the ability to have an additional drop down box when logging work hours so that each entry could potentially be categorized under 2 distinct types (e.g. Billable & Analysis).

    Maybe in a future release?

    Thanks,

    -JT

    Re: Work Log Types

    Hello JT,

The first step to take in order for that to be included in a future version of OnTime would be to submit it as a Feature Request in our Customer Portal. Make the request, and our developers will consider it along with all the other requests when they plan the next version. The more requests for a particular feature, and the more sense it makes to the overall design, will all play a role in whether or not the feature will be developed.

So please submit your suggestion in our Portal, and help us make OnTime a more effective tool for you and your team.

    Thank you,
