Edit Note - Exception Error

Hi All,

We have just completed the upgrade from OnTime 8.0 to 8.1. A few of our users have reported an error when editing a note for a Feature in the 'grid' view (ie not launching the form). The error message is ...

application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

That exception (RecordNotUpdatedException) is only thrown when OnTime calls the stored procedure to update an item, but SQL reports that no item was update (0 rows updated). The only time the stored procedure would fail to update is if the item was not found or if it was updated by someone else while you were in the process of updating it yourself. Both of these scenarios are taken care of by the locking system, and should be highly improbable. The fact that multiple users are getting it seems to indicate that something else might be wrong. Are all those users getting the error on the same item? Or are they getting it on any item they try to update? Does it only happen with Features, or does it happen with Defects, Incidents, or Tasks?
