    Does OnTime 2008 work with .Net Framework 3.5 and/or (3.5 SP1)?

We're having a hard time installing OnTime on our brand new Windows 2008 Server which also has .Net 3.5 installed. Is this a supported environment for OnTime 2008? Does it work?

    Thanks,

    Tor.

Yes, that should work.  What kind of problems are you running into?  Any specific errors?

    Hi Dan,

The main issue at this point is we are not able to install the OnTime web applications as applications under our own site.

If we install OnTime in its own web site everything is fine, but if we try to place it under our own site things break down because of conflicts between web.config files.

Is there a hard requirement with OnTime to have it installed on a clean/dedicated web site?

That is not a specific .NET 3.5 problem, it's a general ASP.NET problem because of the way the inheritance of settings works.  We strongly recommend that you install OnTime in a web site with no ASP.NET applications at the root, but it's not a 100% requirement as it really depends on the settings the root application has in its web.config.  While it's probably possible to go through the settings and clear them in the OnTime config file, any time the root application settings change they could break OnTime.
