    Population Error

I cannot figure out why my Customer Portal is not displaying defects to customers.  Right now, I am simply trying to set it up so that customers can view public defects.  When I allow anonymous access and allow them to view public defects, the defects that I have set to public are indeed viewable.  Nevertheless, under those same settings, when I log in as a customer the defect list is not populated.  Furthermore, when I click the RSS feed the defects once again appear.

I found two suggestions on your forum, but after checking I am not filtering anything out and I definitely have tried clearing the search box.

I also made sure to set the Allow View Public Defects option in New User Defaults, tried creating a new customer, and once again could not see the defects, so I am fairly certain this is not a permissions issue.

Any insight would be much appreciated.  I am using OnTime 2009 version 9.1.0.8330 with a windows 2003 OS server.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hello Reid,

Sounds like you've covered most of the most likely causes for the missing Defects. We don't  have any known issues like this, so I suspect that there must be some other configuration factor causing the issue. Contact us in Support at support@axosoft.com so this issue will be assigned an Incident ID#, and we can work more closely with you to find the solution.

    Talk to you soon.

    Thank you,

    Re: Population Error

    Hey Tom,

Thanks for the response. I believe we finally figured out the problem - although the defects that we wished to appear in customer portal had been denoted as "Show Defect in Customer Portal" they had not been cleared as publicly viewable.  It's strange that the protocol for allowing anonymous users to view items does not necessitate that they be publicly viewable but for logged in users it does?  Anyhow, after I didn't receive any feedback for this post I did indeed add an incident in Support.  I will follow up there as well to verify that we finally reached a solution.

     Thanks again,

    Reid
