Could you please explain how I can configure the sound so the operator gets an audible signal that there is a new chat request.

Hello Aamir_m,

There are no options within Purechat to change/configure the sound notification of a new chat. Purechat uses your current browser settings - which will differ from operator to operator. If you don't get the sounds notification when using Purechat, try a different browser to test with, and verify that the audio works from the browser you're using.
