    Save button disabled when editing workflow step

    Hi,

    After upgrading to the latest build 9.1.4, the Save button is disabled when creating or editing items for users with edit workflow step permission only. It is enabled for users with edit permission.

    It would be far more convenient for users with just edit workflow step permission to be able to save and keep the item open. This is because possible next workflow steps are only populated after an item has been saved. If the save button is disabled, the user has to save and close then reopen immediately and select the next workflow step, which in our case is a choice of 4.

    This was working correctly in our previous build. Was this changed intentionally? If so, why?

    Hi Jens,

    Sorry for the late response but this logic was changed in OnTime V9.1 for security reasons. After looking at the logic we are going to change it so the save is enabled if users have  "edit" or "edit in workflow" security. 

    The item is assigned to be fixed in V10.X build. I don't have a date for you but will update this post once I do. To track this you can follow defect 4736.
