Helo!
I am testing OnTime 2007 to choose a system for the company I work for (~50 users).
So far, I have tested the web interface using the free 30-day trial, but I also have to test the Windows Client. I have downloaded it and tried to ''Connect to Remote Server'', but I don't know what to enter in the fields ''OnTime Remote Server URL'' and ...

Hello,
Yes, the OnTime Windows client does work with Windows Integrated
Authentication just like the web client. The credentials will be obtained from
the local machine where the OnTime application is launched.
Thank you,

Using OnTime Windows 7.0.2.7191. When I am editing an incident or defect and click on the related links tab I can double click on the related link to open the related item but only the newly opened window is active. In other words, I can't go back and forth between the two open tickets and work on them simultaneously. Is that ...

Hi, we recently purchased OnTime 2007 for Windows, installed, and are getting it set up. I have set up a SQL Server 2005 database on a server on our intranet, and am not trying to get our clients set up.
I have installed the Windows client application on about 6 users' computers with no problems. Today I tried to install on ...

Well, no resolution or workaround, but here's the response from support in case anyone else runs into the issue:
''You can actually increase the time response from the OnTime database over to the
windows client of OnTime by modifying the ''Max Customers Tree Search Results''
from 750 which is set by default to 500 or less. This option is ...

How can I adjust the timeout setting for the desktop windows client? I just imported about 6,000 customers into the system via SQL/CSV File as I read there is no built-in customer import, but now the Customers tab just times out trying to load the list. I can do a 'Tools --> Customer Portal --> Manage Customers' and that will list the ...

I've been experiencing intollerable slowness in both the Windows client and the Web client using version 7.1.1.7329.
Here are some timings:
Click on any project in the project tree: 19-30 seconds.
Double-click a feature, defect, or task: 19-25 seconds.
Pretty much anything I clicked on took between 19 and 35 seconds. ...

I notice you have an odd mix of office 2003 themes and windows xp themes in the windows client. As an example, the toolbars have the office 2003 blue....but the main Tabs...are in the standard windows XP theme white with the orange ''mouse hover'' highlight fo rthe top 2 or 3 pixels.
Would be nice to see it be all office2003, or all ...

Hi all,We are running OnTime v7.1 on a box with a P4 3.2Ghz CPU, 1 gig of RAM and 3 x 160 gig 7200 rpm SATA hard drives with RAID 5. I know that 1 gig of RAM is listed as the recommended amount and we meet that so I would expect it to be running okay.
We have configured OnTime to use the Features tab to manage all of our work so Defects, ...

Chris,
I can’t seem to reproduce the problem that you are describing. The paste window in OnTime 2007 windows client seems to be resizing just fine. Can you send us a screenshot of what you are experiencing when attempting to resize the paste window?
Thank you,

Hello Stefan,
The scenario that you have brought up to our attention is definitely a problem in the OnTime client. I have submitted a feature change request to our development team to address this problem in our future releases of OnTime.
Thank you,
-
I think the problem that you are experiencing has to do with a few SQL express configuration settings that you would need to configure before attempting to use the OnTime windows client. We have noticed that remote SQL connections must be enabled for the SQL Express instance in order for the OnTime application to properly connect to the SQL ...
